The Undercliff Harvest

On Christmas Eve in 1839 a landslide happened in the Undercliff on the Devon and Dorset coastline. From the resulting chasm the locals were able to harvest turnips, hazelnuts and wheat for years after. This pattern celebrates these unlikely crops harvested from Devon's coastal jungle.
